" In the early 1920's a group of architects and artists , influenced by some of the ideas of DaDa, formed a movement called De Stijl (Dutch for The Style)." For De Stijl decoration was eliminated , except for colour.. in their work they olny used pure primary colours , plus black and white were to be allowed.I automatically see transformation in various ways in the pictures below , but the main transformation is that De Stijl transformed the building and the painting into a design of a chair .
